چکیده
In this letter, the performance of millimeter-wave (mmWave) communications with selection combining (SC) over non-identical fluctuating two-ray (FTR) fading channels is analyzed. Consequently, exact expressions and asymptotic approximations at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime moment generating function (MGF) probability density (PDF) maximum FTR variates are provided. To effect, mathematically tractable outage (OP), capacity (OC), average bit error (ABEP), channel (ACC) derived. The truncation infinite series cumulative distribution (CDF) for a specific number terms also given. A comparison between numerical simulated results performed to verify validation our analysis.

Unified Analysis of Generalized Selection Combining over Arbitrary Fading Channels
We derive general, unified expressions for the probability density function, cumulative distribution function, and mean SNR of generalized selection combining operating over multibranch, arbitrary, correlated, non-identical fading channels. The expressions are written in terms of the joint probability density function of the branch signals and allow for the equalgain and maximal-ratio methods i...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of M-QAM Multihop Relaying over mmWave Weibull Fading Channels
The paper presents a comprehensive closed-form performance analysis framework for multihop millimeter wave (mmWave) communications as a potential scheme in the next fifth generation (5G) systems and Internet of things (IoT) applications. To take into consideration the channel fading in the mmWave range, we adopt the advocated Weibull model for its flexible ability to cover different channel con...
متن کاملAsymptotic performance of wireless communications with generalized selection combining
In this paper, we study the asymptotic performance of generalized selection combining (GSC) over different fading channels for large average signal-to-noise ratio (ASNR). Employing a moment generating function (MGF) method and the polynomial approximation of the fading channel probability density function (pdf), we derive general asymptotic MGF expressions for the GSC output SNR over generalize...
متن کاملPerformance analysis of system with L-branch selection combining over correlated Weibull fading channels in the presence of cochannel interference
In this paper, closed-form expressions for probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) at the output of the triple selection combining (SC) receiver over correlated Weibull fading channels in the presence of correlated cochannel interference (CCI) are derived. These expressions are used to study wireless system performa...
